An exciting contract position is available for a Handyman with a maintenance engineering background, within an inhouse team & the job role is to start immediate.
The hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm & the pay rate will be up to £15 per hour depending on exp. Ideally start week beginning 9th March 2020 & the role will be for 6 to 8 weeks in duration.
The maintenance handyman job will involve preventative planned maintenance & reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
Plantroom - dealing with heating issues, heating pumps, leaking valves etc. repairs on electrical, mechanical building components.
The handyman will also be responsible for emergency light testing, plant room inspections, flushing outlets, inspections of pumps, air handling units, chillers, water tanks, expansion vessels, showers etc, weekly fire alarm test and similar.
The maintenance Handyman job will be suitable for a candidate who has worked as a handyman/ maintenance engineer in a commercial building maintenance job role in the past.
Ideally the candidate will be multi skilled & live within a commutable distance of the site in London.
A trade qualification eg Electrician, Plumber or HVAC would be a plus. This would be a good role for a starter, looking for experience.
